📅 Living Faith Food Pantry Distribution Calendar

What We Do

Our program serves low- to low/moderate-income families in New Jersey, with a priority for Hudson County residents. Our food distributions are on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month, and emergency food pickups are by appointment only. Diapers, hygiene products and more for mothers and mothers-to-be are distributed on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.

In addition, all clients must sign in with a new electronic system ID scan at every visit.

As a community program, we value meeting the basic needs of the community "because no one should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from."

Each month, WTCARES Living Faith Food Pantry provides more than 3,000 food options, fresh fruits and vegetables, and hot meals to families in need, including holiday baskets. In 2023 - 2024, we increased the amount of groceries distributed by adding perishable foods. In 2026, LFFP goals:

  • Deliver nearly one million pounds of groceries.
  • Promote healthier diets to reduce health issues.
  • Help eliminate food insecurity.
  • Increase maternal mortality awareness.
  • Increase awareness of mental health.

Food security means all people have acess to culturally apppropriate, nutritious food at all times..." ~ Pattie Baker, in Food for My Daughters.

🍎 WHAT WE DO

Community Advocacy

We advocate for policies that address the root causes of hunger and strengthen the well-being of families across Bayonne NJ, particularly in the realm of food assistance and community support. Over the past four years, WTCARES has deepened its commitment to hunger-focused advocacy by actively participating in Bread for the World initiatives. Since 2022, we have traveled to Capitol Hill to meet with lawmakers, and we are scheduled to return in June 2026 to continue this critical work. Through these national advocacy gatherings, we gain insight into current hunger-related policy priorities and engage in meaningful dialogue with fellow advocates while preparing for meetings with members of Congress. These dynamic sessions enhance our understanding of food insecurity policies and strengthen our ability to advocate effectively for initiatives that support food pantries and access to nutritious groceries. Participants head to Capitol Hill to speak directly with members of Congress and their staff, urging support for legislation aligned with the Nourish Our Future campaign. This is more than a conference — it is a moment to unite our voices, raise collective power, and call for meaningful, lasting change.

Community Nutrition Education

We empower families with practical knowledge that supports long-term wellness and food confidence in Bayonne, NJ. At the Living Faith Food Pantry, we provide essential community support to individuals and households facing food insecurity, helping them build skills that make healthy eating more accessible, affordable, and sustainable. Through simple demonstrations, recipe guidance, and conversations during distribution days, we equip families with the tools for meal planning, stretching groceries, and maximizing the use of nutritious groceries and pantry staples. Our goal is to support residents in making informed choices that strengthen their health, stability, and overall well-being.

Community Engagement

We believe that strong communities are built through connection, belonging, and shared purpose. At the Living Faith Food Pantry, a vital resource for Bayonne NJ food assistance, we create welcoming spaces where neighbors can come together, support one another, and build relationships rooted in dignity and compassion. Every distribution day becomes a moment of community — volunteers greeting families by name, residents sharing resources, and households finding comfort in knowing they are not alone in facing food insecurity.

Through pantry events, outreach activities, and partnerships across Bayonne and Hudson County, we foster unity, resilience, and a shared commitment to caring for one another. Our work extends beyond providing nutritious groceries; it strengthens the bonds that hold our community support together.
